Planned Parenthood of Ohio and Ohio Physicians for Reproductive Rights is sponsoring an amendment that will be on the November ballot and is actively collecting signatures in 44 counties in Ohio. This amendment will enshrine abortion in the Ohio constitution. They currently have trained volunteers at Medina Libraries and local events asking for signatures. They need 414,000 signatures but are aiming for 700,000. This amendment is purposely vague to allow for expansion. It would remove common sense laws like Parental Consent that protects young girls and critical Health and Safety Protections for Ohio women that are currently in place.
